FEATURES AND BENEFITS OF STEALTH HT
![]() |
Behind-the-Head FitThe over-the-neck band stays clear of glasses, ball caps, and long hair so you get a clean cheek weld on every rifle and shotgun without the hearing protector pushing off your ear. Traditional earmuffs break the seal against shooting glasses and get pushed out of place when you set up on a stock, but the Stealth 28 HT’s behind-the-head design keeps everything clear of your temples and your firing-side cheek. The result is a consistent point of aim, a solid seal, and no compression headaches from clamping force on the sides of your head. Snug, not tight, all day long. |
Proprietary DLSC CompressionPro Ears’ hybrid analog/digital DLSC system shuts down dangerous impulse noise and loud sounds the instant they hit, so gunshots, slammed actions, and shotgun reports never reach a harmful level in your ears. Unlike cheaper electronics that clip ambient sound into a tinny, robotic pass-through every time something loud happens, DLSC keeps speech and ambient sound quality natural even between shots. You stay protected from the noise that matters and connected to the sound that matters. That’s the difference between earpro you tolerate and earpro you actually want to wear. |

5X Situational AwarenessOmnidirectional microphones amplify quiet sounds up to five times normal so you can hear range commands, footsteps in the brush, and conversation with clear directional cues even when there’s background noise. The omnidirectional pickup means you know exactly where every sound is coming from, whether it’s an RO behind you or a deer moving through cover off your flank. Switchable Fast and Slow release modes let you tune the compression behavior to the situation, from spaced pistol shots to rapid shotgun strings. Hear more, not less. |
Built for All-Day WearAt 27 grams with tips installed and 25 hours of runtime per USB-C charge, the Stealth 28 HT delivers a full weekend match, multi-day hunt, or long shop session with a comfortable fit and no battery anxiety or ear fatigue. The slim earbud design and behind-the-head balance distribute weight evenly so you barely notice you’re wearing them after the first few minutes. Multiple foam and silicone tip sizes ensure a secure fit for adolescents to large adults, and the included carry case keeps everything organized between uses. Built to wear for hours, not just rounds. |

Looked at several different in-ear electronic ear pro options . After sorting through all the “reviews”, crunching the numbers and running that through multiple AI apps, the Pro Ear 28 HT seemed to be the best combination of over all noise reduction, function, company/product reputation and cost. I like that they are tethered (but not with a long dangling set of cords like other companies ear pro) as I can see the non-tethered options falling out at the least convenient time and in the tallest of grass. Didn’t opt for BT as the last thing I want when out shooting is a phone call or music. Real time function, I only have one range session but, item worked well with good noise cancelation. Amplified hearing was good, better than electronic muffs in overall sound quality and background noise. No wind at the time so can’t speak to that and haven’t installed the optional wind filters but with above reviews will probably do so. Fit is comfortable. In ear was comparable to foamies with a little more rigidity. Have worn (corrective) glasses for years so something over my ears was unnoticeable as was the unit on back of head. Bought these, as muffs don’t get full seal with glasses temple and my cheek weld on multiple rifles pushed them off ear forcing use of a foam plug on that side. 28HT solved all that. Very pleased so far. If I had to give one con (and this is being pretty tick tacky) shutting off the device sets it back to default settings for volume and fast/slow release mode. With 25 hour charge time will learn to just leave them on until I box them up at the end of a session. All in all seems like a great product and I am very satisfied.

Worth the $$ – Bought these for my wife . She shoots local tournaments and the range a lot . Over the ears are not comfortable for wearing for hours. She likes these and they sound good
Skeezix –
Very comfortable – These cancel noise like a set of foam ear plugs without the electronics turned on. I would prefer another level of volume for my tired old ears, but they are sufficient for most range commands. Very comfortable, I think I said that already!

I Wish I could give these 5 stars…I’ve been considering “in the ear” hearing protection for several years. I chose the ProEars Stealth HT because they had no cords to hang down, fit over the ears, are rechargeable, and I had previous experience with ProEars noise cancelling ear muffs. I did not need Bluetooth connectivity because my plan was to wear them for hunting and shooting.
I just returned from a two-day shooting class where I wore these 100% of the time. This is what I found:
PROS –
– Noise cancellation is excellent
– They are comfortable and stay out of the way
– Battery life was excellent.
CONS –
– They are terrible in windy conditions. Wind noise is amplified and makes hearing anyone speaking in the background almost impossible to hear.
– When you shut them off, say on a break, everything resets to a default setting. Everything. The response time and the volume need to be fiddled with every time you put them on. To get around this, you must leave them on when you take them off for lunch or anything else.
– There is a learning curve to the controls. I had to look at the instructions a few times to figure out the difference between One and Two beeps on the response time. Then I had to remember which button was the On/Off, which was the Response, and which side of the Volume made it louder. Tactile feedback is poor and, other than the initially confusing response beeps, there is no audio feedback until you get to full loud or full soft on the volume.
In summary, the do work well other than for the background wind noise. With use, the controls finally become familiar. The default reset of settings can be overcome by leaving them on.
As a side note, wind noise can be an issue with amplified hearing protection, but many products, like the ProEars Gold muffs, have foam covers over the microphones which helps to mitigate it. It will be interesting to see how these work during upland bird hunting season.h I could give these 5 stars….

The technology is dead on – So far I like everything. They work as advertised and most important, they do not have the flimsy, pain in the …well..you know battery trays of all the other electronic ear protection. I used my HTBT and immediately ordered two sets of the HT. I also spread the word to the API (Gunsite) list and they bought all the remaining items at Amazon. I also wrote up a glowing report on Shotgun World .com.
T this short time frame, I cannot respond to the longevity or reliability of either the Stealth HTBT or the HT but based on over 20 years of experience with all things Pro Ears, I think they will be good to go.
Strada –
No More Pressure – No more pressure on the ears like with the muffs! I have the HTBT as well and this works just like it without the blue tooth feature. Six volume adjustments vs 4 on the BT. Does not do “Power On” “Power Off” as the BT. Compression also reduces conversation volume a bit – but not like the clipped electronic units. These ear bud units are the new wave. Like this unit vs another brand due to compactness vs a long lanyard to deal with and controllers dangling from each ear. This will be a loaner, compact enough to carry as a spare set.
MJ –
No more fat ear muff – Its almost perfect. Sounds good, noise cancelling good, but the cord that hang on my ear hurts after a long day of use.
