Every Stealth model carries an NRR of 28, one of the higher ratings in electronic in-ear protection, which helps guard against the noise levels that lead to permanent hearing loss. That level of effective hearing protection suits most outdoor shooting, hunting, and work environments, and many shooters add muffs at louder indoor ranges.

The behind-the-head Stealth 28 HT and HTBT fit comfortably under a helmet or hard hat, which makes them practical personal protective equipment for construction, manufacturing, and other loud trades. With an NRR of 28 and built-in amplification, they help reduce the risk of job-site hearing loss while still letting you hear coworkers and equipment around you.
The Stealth 28 HT and Stealth 28 HTBT use a behind-the-head band that keeps anything off the top of your ears, so safety equipment like glasses and hard hats sit naturally. The in-ear Stealth 28 and Stealth Elite also stay clear of glasses since nothing wraps over the ear. Shooters who wear corrective glasses often prefer the behind-the-head models for a consistent cheek weld.
