If your Pro Ears don’t seem to work read this to get them to work
Color: Green
This is my second pair of Pro Ears (I also have the Mag Gold). I liked the first pair so much I bought a second lighter pair for hunting. I thought I had a defective unit, and was pretty unhappy. One side did not work, even with fresh batteries. I call Pro Ears customer support. They gave me a list of quick things to do to make sure the battery was seated properly and that there was no form caught between the battery and terminal. To my surprise, a quick roll of the battery and everything now works.
If you think you have a defective unit, use batteries you know are working, check to ensure the batteries are in the right way and seated properly, roll the batteries, and make sure none of the form is caught in the battery contact. If that doesn’t work then contact Pro Ear’s customer support. I’m glad I did.

Uses expensive hard to find batteries, not AA or AAA
I got these a couple of years ago at the same time as I got several other pairs. The deal with these things (electronic headphones) is that someone always leaves them on, so you pretty much have to replace the batteries every time you take them out. These things use ridiculously expensive camera batteries whereas the other ones I got use AAA batteries. Unless you want to drop $10 worth of batteries into a $90 set of headphones and try to track down Type N batteries when you are hunting in small towns, I’d get the cheaper models that use AAA batteries.

Upgrade
Color: Green
I upgraded to these from an older version of electronic ear protection for shooting; since much of my shooting is indoors recently. What a difference these have made. They fit around my ear perfect, provide outstanding comfort, block out far more noise and turn on the electronic speakers and you can both hear around you and be confident they will block out the unwanted sounds quickly.
If you also want to listen to music at the same time, upgrade to the next ones up in the level

Item works now and has a smaller fit
Color: Black
I rate 3 stars as it is asking me to rate my purchase and not the product.
I like Pro Ears hearing protection. These are smaller than mine but fit my husbands head. Also when i got them the batteries were dead. I had to take my spare set of “N” batteries from my Pro Ears hearing protection to check to see if they worked. I had to order more since “N” is difficult to find in stores.
To be fair ,I can not find an email or contact for the seller. I did email amazon about batteries but heard nothing back from anyone.
As far as the product…i have the Pro Ears Gold Predator which I love how they fit and feel. They do the job well. When i am on the range with instructor we are able to talk regularly to each other and hearing protection does their job. Do keep a spare set of batteries on hand. I had seen previous reviews about these being smaller and took a chance where when he buys fitted caps we have to find an unusually small cap size. I could not wear these as they would give me a headache.

They worked well for about 9 months
Color: Green
They probably would still work well if I could hold them on my head.
The bracket that holds one of the muffs on broke today while I was mowing.
I’ll soon know how good the warranty is.
I could add a star if they respond well,, take one away if they don’t.
🙂
Update:
The company quickly provided a new headband. It was easy to assemble and works fine again.
Thanks.

GREAT Choice for My First Time Shooter Wife
Color: Pink
Bought this set of Pro-Ears for my new-shooter wife (I certainly wouldn’t wear the PINK ones…) Had ordered another pair for myself earlier and liked them (in dark green, of course). These have been perfect for my wife to wear at the indoor ranges where we shoot – she just completed her NRA Course and did the CCW qualification shoot in them. She really likes being able to hear me easily at the range, regardless of what’s being shot on the next lane over. These are light enough weight, even with the batteries in for a woman to wear easily and are well worth the price!

Excellent Headphones
Color: Black
I’ve had these for more than 6 months now and am totally satisfied. I’ve used them weekly for at least 2 hours at a time for about 4 months and used them for two full days in the spring. I’m still on the first set of batteries. The sound suppression is good and they are comfortable. If you are in a windy area they may not be the best for you. 15 – 20 mph wind generates a lot of noise. You can turn them down to decrease the volume of it but then you’re turning down everything else that you want to hear.
